Collection on a Snowy Day

A New Book Comes Home With Me

Good thing I went out of town a couple of days ago. Snow is deep and wide, now.
I bought this book at the nearest bookstore which is 75 miles from home. I am in love!
Chris Orwig is a wonderful writer and writes the way I think. I have a long way to go on this new journey to find a place in photo land.  I have new eyes, now.
Blogland is so inspiring, my new photo experience with a great group of gals, has set me on a path I never took before. It gives me butterflies in my stomach to think of a new year coming with a burning passion to learn something new. I wish me luck! ha.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Here is the link to the book:

Photo Project #4 What Fun!

Below are the photographs I created for this project. It was a lot of fun and really a challenge. I have a hard time showing myself in photo's, just ask anyone who knows me. I thought and thought about what you said, Rose. I guess it is not nice to be a mystery. I share myself in many other ways; in my artwork and in teaching children how to draw. I love my friends and family.
I thank you ladies for sharing this opportunity with all of us who hopped aboard. I really learned a lot and I see the world differently, now. I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a super new year filled with many creative and beautiful moments.

Portraits: To Each Their Own

Jim's work in progress, which never ends. In his spare time he builds.

Mom is 87 years old and she lives with me. She reads all the time after having macular degeneration and a cataract removed with a new lens in her eye. She walks with a cane. She is blind in one eye. She shopped yesterday until I dropped. She is fun to be with and is a very good friend, as well.

My Dad passed on in 1995. I know where he is.

Here are my extra eyes waiting for their turn. They live in my studio which I will share with you, soon.

Thanksgiving week is a hard time to find my other friends.

I enjoy seeing what everyone is doing with their photographs and it inspires me. Thank you.

Do Over

 A man once told me:

         "Speaking a harsh word
                   is like
              pounding a nail
                 in a board,

       if you take the
            nail out

         there is still

   a hole left behind."

Tibetan Prayer Flag Scarf

YouTube - Libraries of Compassion

I take for granted my books, my freedom, my country. My Nadia
wears a peace symbol on her T-shirt. She is less than ten years old.
She is a beginner. I try to begin anew each day.
See the value these people put upon
the library of compassion.

My heart is touched this morning
with joy and appreciation of
Please, if you wish, let her paintings touch your day,
as well.
